The Widows’ and Orphans’ Aid Association of the San Francisco Police Department held their monthly meeting via Zoom Technology due to the continuing Covid-19 Pandemic. The WOAA Board met on Tuesday August 11, 2020 at 1230 hours.

Roll Call: President James O’Meara, Secretary Mark McDonough, Treasurer Dean Taylor, Trustees Ryan Walsh, Lou Barberini, Ray Kane, and Administrative Assistant Sally Foster were present. Vice President Al Luenow, and Trustees Rob Forneris and Leroy Lindo were excused.
Approval of the Minutes:
Trustee Ray Kane made a motion to accept the July 2020 minutes. Trustee Lou Barberini seconded the motion. The motion passed.
Receiving Applications; Suspensions and Reinstatements:
There were no new applications, suspensions, or reinstatements. The following 2020 suspended members have not responded to their suspension letters and were reported to President O’Meara. President O’Meara, per WOAA Constitution Article III Section 4, ordered the names of the unpaid suspended members to be dropped from our roll of the WOAA: Anna Alexander, Kathryn Bartel, William Braconi,  Ramon Davila Jr., Matthew Divina, Malia Dudum, Richard Ernst, Lara Fuentes, Michael Gerchow, Kahri Gill-Kehoe, Robert Hamblen Jr., Seamus Hodgin, Mark Holland, Nicholas Hooley, Jody Kato, Steven Keith, David Kellogg, Mary Kilgariff-Weese, Theodore Lattig, Nico Lazzara, Albert Lee, Peter Maloney, Mario Marino, Tedman Mark, Nicholas Marks, Nancy Mazur, Michael Mellone, Eric Mendoza Gopar, Kevin Needham, James Nguyen, Douglas Novak, Carlos Padilla, F. Communications and Bills:
Treasurer Taylor reported the beneficiary claims of passed members Fred Curley, Harry Keenan, Budd Armstrong, Mike Mullane, and Mario Ceballos. Treasurer Taylor reported the regular monthly bills. Trustee Ray Kane made a motion to pay the beneficiary claims and regular monthly bills. Trustee Ryan Walsh seconded the motion. The motion passed.
Report of Visiting Committee:
Due to the Covid-19 Pandemic, there will be no funeral or memorial service visitations until the restrictions are lifted by the Governor of California.
Report of Trustees:
No reported deaths this month.
Report of Special Committee:
There is no WOAA Special Committee at this time.
Old Business:
The WOAA does not have a Special Committee at this time.

President O’Meara asked for a moment of silence for all our fallen members. President O’Meara then scheduled our next meeting for Tuesday September 8, 2020. The meeting will be conducted by President O’Meara via Zoom Technology.
